Goliath Ventures CEO charged with operating alleged Ponzi scheme involving cryptocurrency investments

Christopher Alexander Delgado, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Goliath Ventures, has been arrested in Orlando, Florida on charges of wire fraud and money laundering. United States Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe announced the arrest. If convicted on all counts, Delgado could face up to 30 years in federal prison.

According to the criminal complaint, Delgado led Goliath Ventures—formerly known as Gen-Z Venture Firm—from January 2023 through January 2026 as a Ponzi scheme. Authorities allege that he solicited investments by making false promises of monthly returns generated through cryptocurrency “liquidity pools.” The complaint states that investors were brought in through personal referrals, professional marketing materials, luxury events, charitable sponsorships, and some payments of purported returns intended to build trust in Goliath’s legitimacy. Based on these representations, Goliath collected at least $328 million from investors.

Investigators say that rather than investing funds as promised, the money was primarily used to pay earlier investors their supposed returns or principal upon request. Additionally, funds were spent on extravagant business gatherings and luxury travel. Delgado is also accused of purchasing four residential properties with values ranging from $1.15 million to $8.5 million using investor funds.
