A Londonderry, New Hampshire man was arrested on Mar. 10 for allegedly cyberstalking a victim in Massachusetts through social media, text messages, and other online platforms. The United States Attorney's Office said Brad Cerullo, 46, faces one count of cyberstalking and is being held pending a hearing scheduled for March 27 in federal court in Boston.
The case highlights concerns about the use of digital tools to harass individuals and the potential impact on victims' emotional well-being. Authorities allege that Cerullo posted sexually provocative statements about the victim online, including claims that she wanted to be sexually assaulted. He also allegedly encouraged others on social media to create and share sexually explicit material involving the victim.
According to charging documents, between March 2021 and May 2025, the victim received approximately 72 text messages from at least 26 unknown senders—many using Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) numbers. Investigators traced two of these VoIP numbers back to Cerullo. Several messages referenced personal information or photos from impersonation Twitter accounts targeting the victim.
Authorities further allege that more than 340 images of the victim—including sexually explicit content taken from a secure device—were used across at least ten accounts designed to impersonate her or intensify efforts to shame and harass her.
If convicted, Cerullo could face up to five years in prison, three years of supervised release, and a $250,000 fine under federal sentencing guidelines. United States Attorney Leah B. Foley announced the charges along with officials from the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Boston Division and local police departments who assisted with the investigation.
Prosecutors emphasized that all details contained in charging documents are allegations and that "the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law."
