Diane J. Sabatino highlights CBP's agricultural interceptions and canine team graduation

Executive Assistant Commissioner Diane J. Sabatino of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) shared updates on the agency’s activities and recruitment efforts in a series of posts published between March 30 and March 31, 2026.

On March 30, Sabatino highlighted the daily work of CBP Agriculture Specialists, stating, "On a typical day in FY2025, CBP Agriculture Specialists intercepted 4,691 prohibited plant & animal products and 222 agriculture pests. That’s daily. Protecting America’s farms, food supply, and ecosystems starts at the border. #OFOproud".

Later that same day, she recognized recent graduates from the CBP Field Operations Canine Academy: "At the CBP Field Operations Canine Academy, a new class of concealed human and narcotic detection teams graduates, ready to support frontline operations nationwide. These K9s and handlers are trained to detect hidden threats and strengthen border security. #OFOproud".

On March 31, Sabatino promoted a virtual career event for those interested in joining CBP: "Join our CBP Spring Virtual Career Expo today, March 31 from 11AM - 4PM ET to learn about how you can join our mission and contribute to your community and country. If you're looking to make a real difference, we're looking for you!"
