North Fort Myers man sentenced to over six years for distributing methamphetamine

Michael Peacock, a 39-year-old resident of North Fort Myers, was sentenced on April 3 to six years and six months in federal prison for distributing methamphetamine. The sentence was handed down by U.S. District Judge Kyle Dudek after Peacock pleaded guilty on October 28, 2025. United States Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe announced the sentencing.

The case highlights ongoing efforts by federal authorities to address drug distribution networks in local communities. According to court documents, Peacock was involved with a group of drug distributors operating in the Palmona Park neighborhood of North Fort Myers.

In July 2024, Peacock sold approximately two ounces of methamphetamine for $500 to a confidential informant as part of an undercover operation.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation conducted the investigation into the case. Assistant United States Attorney Benjamin S. Winter prosecuted the matter.

Authorities continue to focus on disrupting illegal drug activity in neighborhoods throughout Florida.
