U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) reported two major narcotics seizures in Texas, according to a series of posts on its official X account.
On April 2, 2026, CBP posted: "Don't eat these carrots! U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Pharr International Bridge cargo facility intercepted $2.6 million in suspected methamphetamine concealed in a shipment manifested as carrots. Later that day, on April 2, 2026 at 21:25 UTC, CBP provided details of another seizure: "Texas CBP officers seized almost $3M in mixed narcotics. The seizure included 57 packages of cocaine with a street value of $762,392. 107 packages of meth were also seized, with an estimated street value of $2,120,581.
