The Federal Trade Commission announced on Apr. 3 that it has submitted its Fiscal Year 2027 budget request to Congress, seeking $426.71 million and 1,183 full-time equivalent positions.

The budget request supports the President’s fiscal year 2027 federal government budget and includes the Annual Performance Report for FY 2025 as well as the Annual Performance Plan for FYs 2026 and 2027, following requirements under the GPRA Modernization Act of 2010.

According to the agency, the Commission voted unanimously, with a vote of two to zero, to release these documents.

The Federal Trade Commission said it works to promote competition and protect consumers through education and enforcement efforts. The agency also reminds consumers that it will never demand money, make threats, tell people to transfer money or promise prizes.
