Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced on Apr. 4 that it had arrested several individuals convicted of serious offenses, including attempted murder, aggravated sexual assault of a child, stalking, and drug trafficking.
The announcement highlights ongoing efforts by ICE to apprehend individuals who have committed crimes while in the United States illegally. The agency said these actions are part of a broader initiative to address public safety concerns related to criminal activity by non-citizens.
Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis said, “Despite the incessant lies from the liberal media, ICE is NOT slowing down. Just yesterday, ICE arrested gang members, attempted murderers, multiple pedophiles, stalkers, and drug traffickers.” Bis also stated: “Since Day One, DHS law enforcement has been delivering on President Trump’s promise to the America safe again. Nearly 70% of ICE arrests are of illegal aliens charged or convicted of a crime in the U.S. More than 3 million illegal aliens are out of the country and counting.”
According to ICE's report released Wednesday night, those arrested include Thanh Nguyen-Huu from Vietnam—a member of the OC Boys gang—convicted for attempted murder in Orange County, California; Eugenio Duenaz-De Leon from Mexico—convicted for aggravated sexual assault of a child in Tarrant County, Texas; Juan Pedro-Juan from Guatemala—convicted for indecent liberties with a child in Pitt County, North Carolina; Israel Serrano-Aguilera from Cuba—convicted for aggravated stalking in Miami, Florida; and Miguel Adolfo Rivas-Gastelum from Mexico—convicted for possession of methamphetamine for sale in California.
