On April 13, 2026, ICE stated: "Although many Americans think ICE’s work is strictly immigration related, ICE enforces over 400 federal laws and statutes. Protecting our children from online sex predators is one of the agency’s most important missions. Learn more at: https://t.co/T1uc4kOXHg".
The following day, on April 14, 2026, the agency released additional information regarding a recent investigation: "ICE Homeland Security Investigations releases photos of the Nevada man charged with three counts of attempted child sexual exploitation and one count of obtaining child sexual abuse material. Carl Schilbe is an alleged child sex predator and U.S. citizen from Nevada. ICE @HSI_HQ https://t.co/okdK7oEV52".
