Jackie Leon Parker, Jr., age 51, of Morris, Oklahoma, pleaded guilty on Apr. 17 to one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm, according to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. The charge carries a maximum penalty of up to 15 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
Parker admitted to knowingly possessing a bolt-action rifle on October 7, 2025, after having previously been convicted of an offense punishable by more than one year in prison. The case resulted from an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
The plea was accepted by Magistrate Judge Gerald L. Jackson in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. Judge Jackson ordered that a presentence investigation report be completed before sentencing is determined. Parker will remain in custody with the United States Marshals Service until sentencing takes place.
