Reshawn Graham and Tyrone Pierson, both of Ocala, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, according to an April 23 announcement by U.S. Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe.
The case is significant due to the amount of drugs involved and the mandatory minimum sentences faced by both men. Graham faces a minimum of 15 years in federal prison, while Pierson faces at least 10 years. Both could be sentenced up to life in prison.
According to plea documents, on October 7, 2025, an undercover law enforcement officer arranged a purchase of a pound of methamphetamine with Graham. Later that day, Pierson met with the officer and explained that there was a delay from the drug supplier. The following day, Graham contacted the officer again and stated that Pierson now had possession of the drugs. Law enforcement arrested both men at a predetermined meeting location for the transaction; Pierson was found carrying approximately 438 grams of methamphetamine.
The Drug Enforcement Administration investigated this case. Assistant United States Attorney Sarah Janette Swartzberg is prosecuting it.
This prosecution falls under Operation Take Back America—a nationwide Department of Justice initiative aimed at addressing illegal immigration issues and eliminating cartels and transnational criminal organizations.
