News Release: PENSACOLA, FLORIDA - A federal jury in Pensacola convicted Michael Tyrone Lindsey, 38, of Pensacola, on possession with intent to distribute over 50 grams of methamphetamine, possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The guilty verdict, returned at the conclusion of a two-day trial, was announced by Jason R. Coody, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida.

News Release: RAPID CITY - United States Attorney Alison J. Ramsdell announced today that U.S. Circuit Judge Jonathan A. Kobes has sentenced a Wolcott, New York, man convicted of Attempted Enticement of a Minor Using the Internet. The sentencing took place on Jan. 31, 2023.

News Release: WASHINGTON - Collin Potter, 30, of Quantico, VA, pled guilty to second-degree murder while armed for stabbing Vongell Lugo, of Washington, DC, to death in Mr. Lugo’s apartment in the Upper Northwest neighborhood of Washington, DC, announced U.S. Attorney Matthew M. Graves and Chief Robert J. Contee III, of the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD).

News Release: TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA - A federal jury in Tallahassee convicted Sean Secada Scott, 30, of Ocoee, Florida, of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and carrying a firearm during and in relation to a drug-trafficking crime. The guilty verdict, returned yesterday at the conclusion of a three-day trial, was announced by Jason R. Coody, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida.

News Release: WASHINGTON - Shanteari Weems, 50, of Baltimore, MD, was sentenced today to 60 months in prison, execution of the sentence suspended for all but 48 months, for aggravated assault in the July 21, 2022, shooting of her husband at the Salamander, previously known Mandarin Oriental Hotel, in Washington, D.C.

News Release: Richmond, VA - Members of the U.S. Marshals Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Zackary Gurd, 23. Gurd was wanted by the Warren Police Department for aggravated murder.

News Release: WASHINGTON - A federal jury convicted a Puerto Rican man today of extortion and obstruction of justice related to his involvement in a scheme to obtain money in exchange for preventing the release of chat messages involving senior officials in the Government of Puerto Rico.

News Release: BECKLEY, W.Va. - David William McConnell, 39, of Charlotte, North Carolina, was sentenced today to 10 years in prison, to be followed by 25 years of supervised release, for traveling in interstate commerce to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a minor. McConnell must also register as a sex offender.

News Release: WASHINGTON - A Texas man was sentenced for assaulting law enforcement officers with a dangerous weapon during the breach of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. His actions and the actions of others disrupted a joint session of the U.S. Congress convened to ascertain and count the electoral votes related to the presidential election.

News Release: ANCHORAGE - A federal grand jury in Alaska returned an indictment charging a Homer woman.

News Release: HARTFORD, Conn. - Vanessa Roberts Avery, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that MARIA MALDONADO, 50, of Hartford, was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Janet C. Hall in New Haven to 24 months of imprisonment, followed by three years of supervised release, for distributing fentanyl.

News Release: NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA -NELSON RAYMOND, a resident of New Orleans, was sentenced on Jan. 31, 2023 by U.S. District Court Judge Wendy B. Vitter to seventy (70) months of incarceration after pleading guilty to a one-count indictment. Judge B. Vitter ordered that RAYMOND shall be on supervised release for a term of three (3) years following his release from imprisonment. RAYMOND was also ordered to pay a $100 mandatory special assessment fee.
