Search and Rescue Teams Recover Body from Marin Headlands Cliffs

News Release: On Monday August 30 at approximately 7:30 pm a kayaker reported seeing a human skull in a cove below Battery Spencer in the Marin Headlands, part of Golden Gate National Recreation Area. The kayaker notified the National Park Service, and a team of U.S. Coast Guard and NPS Rangers immediately performed a search of the cove. Due to approaching darkness, NPS decided to resume the search the following morning.
