Latta on Nomination of Consumer Product Safety Commissioner

The following press release was published by the House Committee on Energy and Commerce on Sept. 21, 2017. It is reproduced in full below.

WASHINGTON, DC - Digital Commerce and Consumer Protection Subcommittee Chairman Bob Latta (R-OH) released the following statement on President Trump’s nomination of Dana Baiocco to be Commissioner of the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

“The CPSC is entrusted with the critical mission of protecting us, our children, and our families from dangerous or faulty consumer products. That is why it’s so important to maintain a full complement of commissioners. I look forward to a swift nomination process so the CPSC can continue its work to keep the public safe," said Latta.

Earlier this year, Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Greg Walden (R-OR) and Latta sent a letter to President Trump regarding the upcoming CPSC vacancy.
