U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced Feb. 25 the launch of a website that provides information to the public about employers or agents petitioning for H-2A employees.

The site, known as an H-2A Employer Data Hub, is part of USCIS efforts to increase transparency in employment-based visa programs, according to a USCIS press release.

“This information will help the public calculate approval and denial rates and review which employers are using the H-2A program,” the release stated. “Data for individual fiscal years is available to download on the H-2A Employer Data Hub files page.”

The USCIS created previous versions of the data hub in 2019 and 2021, according to the release.

The updated site enables the public to search for H-2A petitioners by fiscal year from 2015-2021 and allows U.S. employers or agents to meet regulatory requirements to bring a foreign national to the U.S. to fill a temporary agricultural position, the release stated.

“The employment must be of a temporary or seasonal nature, and the petitioner must show that there are not enough U.S. workers who are able, willing, qualified, and available to do the temporary or seasonal work,” according to the USCIS.
