The Subcommittee on Aviation will hold its fourth hearing of the Congress next week as part of its preparations for a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reform and reauthorization bill later this year.
On Tuesday, the Subcommittee will explore how the federal government can best ensure the American aviation system remains vibrant and competitive. A diverse panel of witnesses will offer testimony about new aviation and aerospace technologies, users, and business models; innovation and its role in building a 21st century aviation transportation system; and any potential challenges operators may face when trying to integrate new technology into the National Airspace System (NAS).
This hearing of the Subcommittee on Aviation, chaired by U.S. Rep. Frank LoBiondo (R-NJ), is entitled: “Building a 21st Century Infrastructure for America: Enabling Innovation in the National Airspace." The hearing is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, in 2167 Rayburn House Office Building.
