Emerging Technologies in the Trucking Industry to be Focus of Roundtable

Highways and Transit Subcommittee Chairman Sam Graves (R-MO) will lead a roundtable discussion on emerging technologies being utilized or explored in the trucking industry, many of which have the potential to improve the safety and productivity of the industry.

Roundtable participants will include:

Mr. Greer Woodruff, Senior Vice President of Safety, Security, and Driver Personnel, J.B. Hunt, on behalf of the American Trucking Associations

Ms. Susan Alt, Senior Vice President of Public Affairs, Volvo Group North America

Ms. Jane Terry, Senior Director, Government Affairs, National Safety Council

Mr. Larry Willis, President, Transportation Trades Department, AFL-CIO

The Subcommittee roundtable, entitled “Emerging Technologies in the Trucking Industry," is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 7, 2017, in 2167 Rayburn House Office Building.

The roundtable is open to the public and news media, and will be webcast, however video recording is not permitted during the roundtable. Additional background information and a link to the live webcast will be posted here as they become available.
