Washington, DC- Today, Chair of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure Peter DeFazio (D-OR), and Chair of the Subcommittee on Railroads, Pipelines, and Hazardous Materials Daniel Lipinski (D-IL) announced the Subcommittee will hold a hearing titled, “Challenges and Opportunities for Commuter Railroads." The hearing will explore the state of the commuter rail industry, challenges commuter rail service providers face, and opportunities to address issues through legislation.
