SENATE CONFIRMS BY UNANIMOUS CONSENT THE NOMINATION OF CLAY SELL TO THE DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY

Washington, D.C. - The U.S. Senate yesterday evening confirmed the nomination of Jeffrey Clay Sell as Deputy Secretary at the Department of Energy. The Senate confirmed the nomination by unanimous consent in yesterday’s wrap of business at the end of the day. The Energy & Natural Resources Committee reported out his nomination Wednesday by voice vote. Chairman Domenici’s statement: I am pleased by the swift confirmation of Mr. Sell. This prompt approval is an affirmation of his talent and impressive accomplishments. I look forward to his contributions at the Department of Energy.
