San Antonio, TX - Husband and wife, Keith and Ruth Marie Barta, were arrested this afternoon by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force on the northwest side of San Antonio.
Keith Barta, 25, and Ruth Barta, 26, were under investigation by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office on charges involving forced entry-burglary of a habitation and larceny. Both were believed to be on the run together. After an extensive investigation, task force officers located the married couple at a motel in the 6800 block of NW Loop 410. They were found in possession of stolen vehicle and arrested without incident. Both are currently in custody at the Bexar County Jail.
“It’s not often that a married couple gets arrested together for breaking the law," said U.S. Marshal Susan Pamerleau. “But when the law is broken arrests have to be made."
