U.S. Marshals Looking for Murder Suspect

Burlington, VT - The U.S. Marshals-District of Vermont is currently searching for a man wanted for murder and sexual assault on a minor.

Leroy Headley, is wanted for the murder of his longtime partner and mother of his two children. In addition, Headley is wanted for a Sexual Assault on a Minor, and Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution.

On May 3, 2018 Headley’s longtime partner was found shot and killed in the two’s shared residence in South Burlington, Vermont. After the murder, Headley fled the state and his whereabouts are unknown.

Headley, who is originally from Jamaica, has ties across the United States, Jamaica and Canada. It is believed that Headley is living under an assumed name, and may have befriended people under this alias. He may have shaved his head or otherwise changed his appearance, and should be considered armed and dangerous. If you see Headley, please contact law enforcement immediately.

The U.S. Marshals are seeking the public’s assistance is publicizing Headley’s information, in conjunction with an expanded reward of up to $10,000.00 for information leading to Headley’s arrest.
