Millen, GA - On Tuesday, December 8, 2020, U.S. Marshals from the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force (SERFTF) were involved in a shooting incident in Millen, Georgia. The Jenkins County Sheriff’s Office, Millen Police Department, and the U.S. Marshals SERFTF were searching for Larry Jackson, age 29, who had active warrants related to charges of aggravated assault and strongarm robbery. After a foot chase in a wooded area, Jackson reportedly threatened law enforcement officers with a firearm. He was hit with a single round fired by a Deputy U.S. Marshal and surrendered. A weapon was found at the scene. Jackson was transported to Augusta University Medical Center in Augusta in critical condition. No officers were injured during the incident. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is investigating.
