WASHINGTON-House Committee on Oversight and Reform Ranking Member James Comer (R-Ky.) today issued the following statement on the federal investigation into Hunter Biden’s taxes:
“There have been serious concerns about Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings and potential conflicts of interest for years, and the mainstream media’s lack of reporting during the election and Big Tech’s censorship didn’t erase these facts. Joe Biden’s naïve approach to his son’s foreign business dealings and refusal to answer basic questions are a disservice to the American people. The Oversight Committee must be vigilant in ensuring Joe Biden is not influenced by his family’s foreign interests.
“The U.S. Attorney for the District of Delaware’s investigation must continue unimpeded. Joe Biden must not replace the current U.S. Attorney for the District of Delaware now that his son is under federal investigation. Any interference would be meddling in the Department of Justice’s affairs."
