Education and Labor Committee Republican Leader Virginia Foxx (R-NC) issued the following statement after President Biden released his FY 2023 budget:
“Hardworking taxpayers are still reeling from the economic catastrophes borne out of Democrats’ 2021 spending splurge, and if we’ve learned anything since last year, it’s that policy atrocities are the forte of this administration. Today’s budget still harbors the same misguided approach and gross negligence that we saw just a year ago.
“Americans are tired of seeing progress on substantive issues slow-walked into oblivion. Where is the urgency in reforms to improve opportunities in education and skills development for our future leaders, bolstering America’s dynamic and resilient workforce, and leaning on fiscally responsible policies to guide the way? This administration is a day late and a dollar short on all counts—a serious shortcoming that has become all too commonplace.”
