Washington, D.C. - U.S. Sen. Patty Murray (D-WA) released the following statement about President Trump’s Army Secretary nominee, Dr. Mark Green.
“The men and women who sign up to serve our country deserve a leader who instills a culture of integrity and respect for all of our servicemembers, regardless of their religion, race, sexual orientation, or gender identity. Unfortunately, on multiple occasions, Dr. Mark Green has demonstrated he is not that leader. I will oppose his nomination, and I encourage my colleagues in the Senate to do the same."
