Hatch Announces Finance Committee Trade Nominations Hearing

WASHINGTON - Senate Finance Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) will convene a hearing on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017, to consider nominees to serve as Deputy United States Trade Representative, Office of the United States Trade Representative Chief Agricultural Negotiator and United States International Trade Commission Member. The hearing will take place at 10 a.m. in Room 215 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building.

The following nominees are scheduled to testify:

Mr. Jeffrey Gerrish, of Maryland, to be a Deputy United States Trade Representative (Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Industrial Competitiveness), with the rank of Ambassador, vice Robert W. Holleyman II;

Mr. Gregory Doud, of Kansas, to be Chief Agricultural Negotiator, Office of the United States Trade Representative, with the rank of Ambassador, vice Darci L. Vetter; and

*

Mr. Jason Kearns, of Colorado, to be a Member of the United States International Trade Commission for the term expiring Dec. 16, 2024, vice Dean A. Pinkert, resigned.
