Hatch Announces Treasury Nominations Hearing

WASHINGTON - Senate Finance Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) will convene a hearing on Thursday, July 26, to consider the nominations of Justin Muzinich, to be Deputy Secretary of the Treasury and Michael Desmond, to be Chief Counsel for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and an Assistant General Counsel in the Department of the Treasury. The hearing will take place at 9:30 a.m. in 215 Dirksen Senate Office Building.

The following nominees are scheduled to testify:

Justin Muzinich, to be Deputy Secretary of the Treasury, vice Sarah Bloom Raskin.

Michael Desmond, to be Chief Counsel for the IRS and an Assistant General Counsel in the Department of the Treasury, vice William J. Wilkins.
