Levin Statement in Response to Camp Subpoena Threat

The following press release was published by the U.S. Congress Committee on Ways and Means on Nov. 1, 2013. It is reproduced in full below.

WASHINGTON - Ways and Means Committee Ranking Member Sander Levin (D-MI) issued the following statement in response to Chairman Camp’s letter to Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Administrator Marilyn Tavenner:

“This request from Chairman Camp is very regrettably yet another example of Republicans’ determination to undermine the ACA at any cost, using any tactic. The notion that Republicans are now threatening subpoenas over unofficial meeting notes is illustrative of how all-consuming their attacks against the Affordable Care Act have become. The Administrator made clear this week that CMS would make enrollment figures public in mid-November."
