WASHINGTON - Ways and Means Committee Ranking Member Sander Levin (D-MI) today made the following statement following the passing of former Congressman and Committee Member Bill Frenzel (R-MN):
Bill Frenzel believed in the legislative process and the need to search for common ground among disparate points of view. He brought immense ability for warm friendship and a strong sense of humor and he continued that effort after he left Congress. He has always been a superb example of a time when this institution worked more effectively."
