Levin Statement on Proposed Dynamic Scoring Rule Change

The following press release was published by the U.S. Congress Committee on Ways and Means on Dec. 24, 2014. It is reproduced in full below.

WASHINGTON - Ways and Means Committee Ranking Member Sander Levin (D-MI) today issued the following statement after House Republicans proposed changing House rules to more formally incorporate dynamic scoring for official scorekeeping purposes:

“In the guise of dynamic scoring, Republicans are trying to rig the system in ways that can be very destructive. The proposed change would undermine fiscal responsibility and further embrace Republican trickle-down economics, favoring the very wealthy. It sends a potentially dangerous holiday message to all American working families."
