Camp Statement on House Passage of Bills to Reduce Tax Burden on Small Businesses

The following press release was published by the U.S. Congress Committee on Ways and Means on March 31, 2015. It is reproduced in full below.

Washington, DC - Today, Ways and Means Chairman Dave Camp (R-MI) issued the following statement after the House passed two bills to reduce the tax burden on small businesses, H.R. 4457, America’s Small Business Tax Relief Act of 2014 and H.R. 4453, the S Corporation Permanent Tax Relief Act of 2014:

“Another round of bipartisan votes sends a strong signal to the Senate that permanent tax policy is the right step for businesses to grow and to hire and help hardworking Americans see bigger paychecks. It is time to be honest with the American people - these policies are not going away anytime soon - so let’s do what is right and give businesses and their workers the certainty they deserve. Washington needs to stop its constant tinkering with the tax code and provide permanent tax relief to help strengthen the economy."
