WASHINGTON, DC - Today, Ways & Means Committee Ranking Member Richard Neal (D-MA) released the following statement after the House passed Republicans’ second tax scam, H.R. 6760:
“In less than a year, House Republicans have handed out trillions of tax cuts for the wealthy and big corporations. Now, middle-class families are on the hook for higher health care costs, and Medicare and Social Security are on the chopping block. Instead of spending the last two years giving the one percent massive tax cuts, Congress should have found bipartisan ways to reduce health care costs, lower prescription prices, strengthen families’ retirement security, bring our country’s infrastructure into the 21st century, and ensure Americans can access the training they need to fill good open jobs."
