SPRINGFIELD, MA - Today, Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard E. Neal (D-MA) issued the following statement after President-elect Joe Biden announced that Shuwanza Goff will serve as Deputy Director of the White House Office of Legislative Affairs:
“President-elect Biden made a fantastic decision with his selection of Shuwanza Goff to lead engagement with the House in the Office of Legislative Affairs. Ms. Goff understands how the House Floor operates better than just about anyone in Congress. Members and staff alike trust her and look to her for guidance. During her years of service on Capitol Hill, she’s been a tremendous asset not only to Majority Leader Hoyer, but to all House Democrats. Ms. Goff will certainly be missed, but I’m thrilled for her success and am glad she’ll continue to work closely with our offices to advance legislation that improves the lives of the American people."
