Washington, D.C. - Today, Rep. Ed Royce (R-CA), Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, issued the following statement on the conclusion of today’s Israeli election.
“With the peaceful and active participation in today’s elections, Israel has again demonstrated itself a beacon of hope-a free-market democracy in a region awash in violence and extremism.
“Not only is Israel a pluralistic democracy, which includes the freedoms cherished by the people of the United States, it continues to serve as a model of democratic values by regularly holding free and fair elections.
“I look forward to working with the new government in the coming months to strengthen the U.S.-Israel relationship.".
