WASHINGTON-Representative Eliot L. Engel, Ranking Member of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, today made the following statement.
“I strongly condemn the attack in the Las Ramblas area of Barcelona tonight-an act that bears the hallmarks of terrorist violence. In the days ahead, the United States will stand with our ally as authorities investigate what happened and work to bring all those responsible to justice. I will continue to monitor this situation and I send my deepest condolences to the people of Spain as they mourn this horrific act.".
