SENATE CONFIRMS NOMINEES INCLUDING DAVID PAULISON TO BE UNDER SECRETARY FOR FEMA WASHINGTON, D.C.- Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Chairman Susan Collins (R-ME) and Ranking Member Joe Lieberman (D-CT) announced today that the Senate has confirmed by unanimous consent the nominations of R. David Paulison to be Under Secretary for Federal Emergency Management at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security; Lurita Alexis Doan to be Administrator of the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA); Robert J. Portman to be the Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB); Robert I. Cusick to be the Director of the Office of Government Ethics; David L. Norquist to be the Chief Financial Officer of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security; and Ralph Basham to be Commissioner of Customs and Border Patrol.
