WASHINGTON - U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill, the top Democrat on the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, released the following statement after the deployment of Missouri Task Force 1 to North Carolina ahead of Hurricane Florence:
“Missouri’s first responders are always prepared to go above and beyond to keep their fellow Americans out of harm’s way-and the deployment of Missouri Task Force 1 to assist with the hurricane response in North Carolina is yet another example of their sacrifice and dedication. I’m praying for the safety of these courageous Missourians and all those impacted by Hurricane Florence."
