Peterson, Conaway Congratulate USTR’s Bomer Lauritsen on her Retirement

WASHINGTON- House Agriculture Committee Chairman Collin Peterson and Ranking Member Michael Conaway released the following statements congratulating Sharon Bomer Lauritsen, the Assistant U.S. Trade Representative for Agricultural Affairs and Commodity Policy, on her retirement.

“Congratulations to Sharon on her retirement. Her tireless efforts at the USTR have secured better deals for farmers and ranchers, and created opportunities for farm families. I want to thank her for her hard work and all she has done for rural America," said Peterson.

“Sharon has been a driving force behind many trade wins for American agriculture including USMCA, the U.S.-Japan Trade Agreement, and the U.S.- China Phase One Agreement. We are indebted to Sharon for her efforts on behalf of American farmers and ranchers," said Conaway.
