WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-WY), ranking member of the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources (ENR), issued the following statement regarding President Biden’s call for a gas tax holiday.
“President Biden’s policies drove up prices at the pump. Now he is calling for a gas tax holiday. What we need is a holiday from President Biden’s energy policies," said Barrasso. “If the administration is serious about reducing prices at the pump, they should be expanding access to oil and natural gas on federal lands, not killing it. They should be streamlining pipeline permitting, not tying it up in knots. America deserves real solutions, not political gimmicks."
