SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Bureau of Reclamation proposes to execute nine Central Valley Project interim renewal water service contracts for two-year terms to begin March 1,
2017. Public comments are requested on these American River and San Luis Division contracts.
The existing interim renewal water service contracts will expire on Feb. 28, 2017. The proposed contracts will allow Reclamation to continue providing
water service to the water purveyors until long-term renewal contracts can be executed. The contracts include:
Six San Luis Contracts
: (1) City of Avenal, (2) City of Coalinga, (3) City of Huron, (4) California Department of Fish and Game, (5) Panoche Water District, and (6) San Luis
Water District.
Three American River Division Contracts
: (1) Sacramento County Water Agency, (2) Sacramento Municipal Utility District, and (3) City of Roseville.
Execution of the proposed contracts requires appropriate environmental documentation pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act. The environmental
documents will be released separately for public review and comment.
