GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - The Bureau of Land Management is scheduled to host open house meetings on June 17 and 19 to discuss the draft Resource Management Plan for Dominguez-Escalante National Conservation Area.
The Dominguez-Escalante NCA encompasses 210,000 acres of BLM-administered lands in Mesa, Delta and Montrose counties. The BLM will conduct two public open house meetings for the representative communities in those counties. Both meetings will run between 4:30-7:30 p.m.
On June 17, the BLM will host the first public open house at Colorado Mesa University Center in Grand Junction. Parking is free for legally parked vehicles on or above the second floor of the parking deck.
On June 19, the BLM will host a second public open house at the Bill Heddles Recreation Center in Delta.
The BLM welcomes members of the public to attend these open house events to learn more about the draft Resource Management Plan. BLM staff will be on hand to help answer questions and provide instructions on how to make comments.
The meeting is open to the public and interested citizens are encouraged to attend. Members of the media are also welcome to attend.
