INDIANA DUNES NATIONAL LAKESHORE: Join a ranger for a leisurely and fun bike ride at Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore on Sunday, June 11, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The ride starts at the national lakeshore’s Paul H. Douglas Center and travels along the Marquette Bike Trail to West Beach and back. The ride takes you through varied habitats including beautiful black oak savanna and wetlands.
The Paul H. Douglas Center for Environmental Education is located in the western portion of the national lakeshore at 100 North Lake Street, about one mile north of U.S. Highway 12 in the Miller neighborhood of Gary.
