Cincinnati -- The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Environmental Management Consolidated Business Center (EMCBC) today issued a renewal of Cooperative Agreement to Vanderbilt University. The Cooperative Agreement, entitled “Consortium for Risk Evaluation with Stakeholder Participation III" (CRESP-III) was renewed for a five-year period of performance beginning March 1, 2018. The total value for CRESP III is $15,000,000.

The CRESP project advances cost-effective, risk-informed cleanup of the nation's nuclear weapons production facility waste sites and cost-effective, risk-informed management of potential future nuclear sites and wastes. CRESP activities improve the scientific and technical basis for environmental management decisions by the DOE through independent strategic analysis, review, applied research and education and by fostering public participation.
