Cincinnati--The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) today issued a Draft Request for Proposal (RFP) for a contract to provide analytical chemistry production services, research studies and analysis, and has ownership of the 222-S Analytical Laboratory Facilities to support the Hanford Site Environmental Cleanup. The total estimated value of the contract is up to approximately $904 million over a period of up to 7 years, including option periods. The current 222-S Laboratory contract at Hanford held by Wastren Advantage, Inc., expires on Sept. 20, 2020.
DOE anticipates awarding a contract that includes cost-reimbursement and cost-plus-award-fee contract line items. The Draft RFP provides for a small business set-aside.
The purpose of the Draft RFP is to solicit input from interested small business parties to assist DOE in developing a Final RFP for this procurement. DOE invites all interested parties to thoroughly examine the Draft RFP and the accompanying procurement website and to submit comments to DOE.
Additionally, DOE plans to conduct a Pre-solicitation Conference, including a site tour and one-on-one meetings with interested parties, the week of Aug. 20, 2018. Registration and additional information will be available via the procurement website at: https://www.emcbc.doe.gov/SEB/222S_Lab/
