Cleveland Convenient Store Shooting Suspect Arrested by U.S. Marshals

Essex Junction, VT - The U.S. Marshals Service arrested a fugitive who has been actively evading apprehension.

In September and October of 2019, multiple arrest warrants were issued for Thomas Francis Savard for the charges of 1st Degree Domestic Assault, 2nd Degree Domestic Assault, Unlawful Restraint, and Reckless Endangerment from both Chittenden County and Washington County.

On Oct. 30, 2019, Barre City Police requested the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service in locating and apprehending Savard. This afternoon, Savard was arrested without incident when confronted by the U.S. Marshals Service and the Essex Police Department in Essex Junction, VT. Savard attempted to flee but was swiftly taken into custody without further incident.
