WASHINGTON, DC- Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard E. Neal (D-MA) released the following statement regarding the departure of Trade and Labor Oversight Counsel Kelly M. Fay Rodríguez, who has been appointed to serve as the U.S. Department of State’s Special Representative for International Labor Affairs:

“Kelly will be a force for workers everywhere and a superb addition to the Biden State Department. She has been an excellent member of the Ways and Means staff, focusing on labor and oversight matters. With this new role, the Biden Administration is putting our commitment to labor rights on the frontlines, and Kelly is perfectly positioned to thrive.
