Appropriations Committee Releases FY 2020 Homeland Security, Financial Services and General Government Bill Reports Ahead of Tuesday Markup

WASHINGTON - The House Appropriations Committee today released its reports accompanying the fiscal year 2020 Homeland Security and Financial Services and General Government appropriations bills.

The Homeland Security bill provides a gross total of $63.8 billion in discretionary appropriations, $2.2 billion above the fiscal year 2019 enacted level and $1.9 billion below the President’s request.

The full Appropriations Committee will mark up the Homeland Security bill, followed by the Financial Services and General Government bill, on Tuesday, June 11, at 10:30 a.m.

In total, the Financial Services and General Government bill includes $24.55 billion in discretionary funding, an increase of $1.4 billion over the 2019 enacted level and $355.5 million over the President’s 2020 budget request.
