Senate Agriculture Committee Advances Margo Schlanger to be the Assistant Secretary of Agriculture for Civil Rights

WASHINGTON - U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.), Chairwoman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry, today announced that the Committee advanced Margo Schlanger, of Michigan, to be the Assistant Secretary of Agriculture for Civil Rights to the full Senate for consideration.

“Ms. Schlanger is a leading authority on civil rights issues and a strong advocate with a depth of experience," said Stabenow. “I am pleased we are making progress on advancing her nomination, and I know she is well suited to serve as Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights."
