Ernst Names Small Business of the Week, AERO Race Wheels

On the Hill

U.S. Senator Joni Ernst, Ranking Member of the Senate Small Business Committee, has announced AERO Race Wheels of Emmet County as her Small Business of the Week. As part of her commitment to Iowa's small businesses, Senator Ernst plans to recognize a small business in each of the state's 99 counties throughout this Congress.

AERO Race Wheels, a steel racing wheel manufacturer based in Estherville, Iowa, has built a reputation for producing high-quality products that can withstand the demanding requirements of the racing industry. Senator Ernst commended the company's dedication to its customers and its passion for the sport of racing, which has propelled them to success.

"Dedication to their customers and a passion for their sport have propelled the AERO team to success, and I look forward to watching their business continue to grow in northwestern Iowa and beyond," said Senator Ernst.

Established in 1995 as a division of Armstrong Rim and Wheel, AERO Race Wheels was purchased by F.L. "Skip" Miller and his wife Diane in 1998. The company manufactures steel wheels that are made in the USA and are available in a variety of finishes. These wheels can be driven on both asphalt and dirt tracks, making them versatile for racers. AERO wheels have gained popularity across the country, with racers in the NASCAR Xfinity and Truck circuits relying on them for their performance.

The significance of AERO Race Wheels is further emphasized by the fact that NASCAR legends Richard Petty, Jimmie Johnson, and the late Dale Earnhardt, Sr. have all raced with AERO Race Wheels at some point in their careers. AERO's 59 Series NASCAR wheel has also achieved remarkable success, winning more Cup, Xfinity, and Truck Series races than any other brand.

Senator Ernst's recognition of AERO Race Wheels as the Small Business of the Week highlights the company's contribution to the racing industry and its impact on the local economy. As Senator Ernst continues to acknowledge small businesses across Iowa, she aims to shed light on the remarkable achievements and resilience of these enterprises.
