The United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Montana has announced a leadership change. Timothy J. Racicot, who previously served as First Assistant U.S. Attorney, has assumed the role of Acting U.S. Attorney following the departure of Jesse Laslovich.
In his new position, Racicot will be the chief federal law enforcement official in Montana. His career as a prosecutor began when he became an Assistant U.S. Attorney in October 2005, and he has held the position of First Assistant U.S. Attorney since August 2022.
Racicot holds an undergraduate degree from Carroll College and a law degree from the University of Notre Dame.
