Today, the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee will review several nominations for key positions within the Department of Labor, the Federal Mine Safety and Health Review Commission, and the Department of Education.
The agenda includes the nomination of Julie Hocker as Assistant Secretary of Labor for the Office of Disability Employment Policy. Marco Rajkovich is nominated to serve as Commissioner of the Federal Mine Safety and Health Review Commission. Wayne Palmer is considered for Assistant Secretary of Labor for Mine Safety and Health. Henry Mack III is up for Assistant Secretary of Labor for the Employment and Training Administration.
In addition to these labor-related nominations, Kirsten Baesler has been nominated as Assistant Secretary for Elementary and Secondary Education at the Department of Education. Kevin O’Farrell is considered for Assistant Secretary for Career, Technical, and Adult Education. Nicholas Kent has been nominated to serve as Under Secretary of Education.
The meeting will take place in S-216 Capitol (the President’s Room) immediately after the second vote is called at 11:00 AM ET/10:00 AM CT.
